Growing in Faith and Service at ST. MARK

Thank you to all ST. MARK parishioners who have contributed their time, talent, and treasure over the past year to support the Parish. We are truly grateful. We pray that you will be generous in helping ST. MARK meet our financial needs again in the coming year.

Each must do as already determined, without sadness or compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have abundance for every good work.

Ways to Donate

You can always make a cash donation by putting cash directly into the collection baskets passed at Mass.

Please contact the parish office to have envelopes sent to you and to have an ID number assigned.

Automatic Funds Transfer (AFT) through Faith Direct is a safe, secure process for automatic withdrawals from your bank account (preferred) or through a credit card. You can set up regular offertory donations as well as donating to the capital improvement fund and special collections. The consistency of Faith Direct is incredibly helpful to the parish for budgeting; just like your personal finances it is much easier to manage parish finances when we know how much to expect in regular donations.  So even if you are out of town, ST. MARK will still receive your regular offertory donation.

You can also sign up by calling 1-866-507-8757.

You can always send direct donations to the parish office as a grant.

Checks can be mailed to:
ST. MARK Catholic Church
9970 Vale Rd
Vienna, VA 22181

A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA custodian, payable to a qualified charity, in this case ST. MARK. QCDs can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions (RMDs) for the year, as long as certain rules are met.

A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is like a charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting charitable organizations you care about. When you contribute cash, securities, or other assets to a donor-advised fund at a public charity you are generally eligible to take an immediate tax deduction. For more information about Donor Advised funds ask your financial advisor. If this is the way you would like to donate, check with the parish office on how to make a donor advised donation to ST. MARK.

You can donate marketable securities such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds. You can also give other non-cash gifts or include ST. MARK Parish in your estate planning. You receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the securities you transfer. In addition, you pay no capital gains tax which is a win-win for everyone.

Matching gifts is when companies match donations that their employees make to charities. Some companies make a donation on a 1:1 ratio, but some will double, triple, or even quadruple your donation. ST. MARK is registered on several Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platforms. If you do not find ST. MARK on your companies’ platform you can call the parish office to get help, get the parish registered or any other necessary information to designate ST. MARK for your corporate matching.
