After six and a half wonderful years serving our parish as Director of Music and Liturgy, Laura Cooman, is relocating to be closer to family in her hometown of St Louis. While I am certain we are all happy for her, it is definitely mixed emotions for all of us to see her leave.
Laura has brought joy and energy to our liturgies and helped all of us to pray more deeply and lift our hearts up to the Lord. She has blessed our community through her playing, singing, and directing our choirs and parish musicians. In addition, her passion and attention to detail in coordinating liturgical ministries has kept our liturgies running smoothly. I am deeply grateful for her ministry, and am certain her new parish will find out very quickly what a tremendous gift they are receiving.
Please join me in thanking God for sending her to St. Mark and praying that God will continue to pour out his blessings upon her and her family as they move on to this next chapter in their lives.
