Recently, the Ghaffari family, Sergio Leon, and John Toloczko, members of our parish community, completed a beautiful new walking path across an area of our property that had become muddy and difficult to navigate during wet weather. Despite the challenging conditions, this section of the grounds remained well-traveled by parishioners and students, and it was clear that a safer, more accessible path would benefit everyone.
What makes this project especially inspiring is that it was made possible entirely through the generosity of volunteers who donated their time, talent, and treasure to serve our parish. Their willingness to take on this project transformed a problem area into a welcoming and functional pathway that will be enjoyed by countless visitors for years to come.
The path was completed over a weekend and finished with grass seed to help restore the surrounding area. Along the way, it became a true community effort. Fellow parishioners Sergio Leon and John Toloczko provided invaluable assistance. John happened to walk by as work was beginning, returned the following evening with tools and expertise, and became a guiding hand throughout the construction process—a true blessing and example of Christian fellowship in action.
It is also heartwarming to know that this project became a family affair, with the volunteers’ daughters lending helping hands and creating memories while serving the church together.
